The Professional IQ College has launched one-day workshops to help experienced financial advisers prepare to undertake their Level 5 qualification.
Chief Executive, Rod Severn, says they had many discussions in the field with the adviser community and found long-time advisers were apprehensive about achieving Level 5 as they had not done any formal learning for many years.
He said the one-day instructor led in-house workshops are designed specifically to provide advisers with some guidance as to what to expect and the process required to complete the Level 5 qualification.
“Participants will still need to complete their formal assessments after the workshop, but participating in the workshops will arm them with the skills and knowledge to transfer their technical knowledge and competence into the academic outcomes required of the formal qualification,” said Severn.
“By the end of the workshop, they should be able to approach assessments with understanding and confidence, which will lead to the ability to complete their assessments more quickly, rather than possibly putting them off as it may be too daunting without the knowledge imparted in the workshops,” he added.
Workshops will be available for Core, Fire and General, Residential Property Lending and Life and Health.
Registration includes the Level 5 course material and fees, assessment fees, lunch and refreshments, instructor and the assignment of a liaison manager to assist the adviser through the Level 5 process.
The workshop launch follows the College’s recent announcement that a rebate of $550 is available for completing the Level 5 qualification through the College (see: Professional IQ College Offers Rebate for Advisers).
