The Adviser Platform this week announced a new program to help advisers expand their businesses and bring new talent to the financial advice sector (see: TAP Announces Program…)
TAP Managing Director, Ryan Edwards, says the company envisages welcoming 40-50 new advisers into the industry over the course of 2020.
“The regulatory shift has provided a fantastic opportunity for well-run businesses who are confident in their systems and processes to expand and fill the gap left by the 10-20 percent of the market that is forecast to be downsizing or exiting the market,” he said.
In June, MBIE forecasted a drop in adviser numbers of 909 under the new regime (see: Licensing Fees Confirmed…).
