“With the new financial advice regime fast approaching, including a new code of conduct for advisers, competency, knowledge and skill are critical development areas for advisers.

“That’s why we’re investing in professional development and I’m delighted to welcome Leigh to the team,” he added.

In her new role, Bennett will be responsible for developing and delivering Fidelity Life’s product training and accreditation programme for advisers.

Leigh will move from Fidelity Life’s Underwriting team to take on her new role and join Professional Development Consultant, Leigh Austin, with both reporting to Head of Professional Development, Trecia Brown.

“This investment in professional development, alongside our Building Better Businesses programme, is all about providing advisers with certainty by making it easier for them to operate in the new financial advice regime,” said Riminton.
