Newpark to Launch Adviser Support Service

Newpark Group is launching a support service for advisers to help them manage the headwind of increased compliance.

Called Asset (Adviser Support Services Team), the initiative is being lead by Rae Trowell (pictured) who has 30 years’ experience across New Zealand’s financial services industry and is working as a contractor with Newpark.

Newpark’s CEO Melanie Purdey says advisers using its Asset service, to be launched 3 February, won’t need to change their CRM and clients can decide how much help they need from the firm – picking from a menu of services to control costs.

Purdey says Asset is designed for smaller scale advice practices that don’t always have the staff or the time to maintain back-office administration.

“We can manage that without risk for them,” she says. “The intent is to separate the service demands from the advice or sales function so compliance ceases to become an impediment to an adviser having meaningful discussions with as many New Zealanders as possible.”

Purdey says the Asset team is comprised of NZ insurance and mortgage professionals who are experienced with local providers – their processes and people, and New Zealand regulations.
