AIA Australia has partnered with Mentemia, a digital mental health platform co-founded by All Black rugby legend Sir John Kirwan, and is making it possible for every Australian to have free use of the app until mid-November.
In a message to advisers across the Ditch, AIA Australia says it recognises that mental well-being is as important as physical well-being and that both play an important role in overall health.
It describes the app as a preventative tool that can help with the early intervention, education and awareness of mental well-being by assisting users to develop a mental health plan that they can track and make improvements to their mental well-being over time.
It notes that no user data will be shared with AIA Australia, and the app can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play.
”At a time when Covid-19 has introduced new challenges, pressures and stress into our lives, a partnership such as this couldn’t come at a better time for us all,” the insurer says.
