Two New Appointments at Cigna

Cigna has appointed Karen Ward (pictured left) as its new Head of Claims and Nicci Johnston (right) to Head of Customer Care, both started their new roles on 18 January.

Ward has been at Cigna for five years and was previously the firm’s National Customer Care Manager. She has more than 25 years’ experience in financial services in life, health, general insurance, and investments.

Her previous work experience includes leadership positions at Tower, OnePath, ANZ, and Sitel.

Johnston has been with Cigna for 12 years and has more than 20 years of industry claims and leadership experience, having previously worked for Sovereign, ING, OnePath, and ANZ.

“Both Karen and Nicci are passionate about exceeding customer expectations and will be applying their extensive industry experience to their new roles,” says David Haak, Cigna’s General Manager Distribution.
