A four-part webinar for advisers called 2023 The Road Ahead is to start on 1 February with part one covering professional development planning and CPD requirements.

Launched by Financial Advice NZ, its CEO Katrina Shanks says advisers need to have their professional development plan fine-tuned for the year ahead.

The series of webinars will discuss competence, knowledge and skill, and what this means in relation to the Code of Professional Conduct for financial advice services when considering the development and implementation of a professional development plan.

Shanks says advisers who are members of Financial Advice NZ are required to maintain an annual PDP and have a certain number of CPD hours completed each calendar year.
