Asteron Life Updates Employee Insurance

0

Asteron Life has updated its employee insurance offering to include trauma cover for children. In addition, its Connected Care product – providing free access to medical specialists, dieticians, and fitness experts – is also included, along with income protection.

Another update sees the firm’s specific injury support benefit replacing specific injury and its personal accident & major burns benefit. The firm also has three new trauma diagnoses including diabetes and terminal illness.

Graham Hill, the firm’s Executive Manager, Life Distribution says the improvements follow adviser feedback and Asteron Life’s “…desire to continually strengthen their product offerings to ensure they’re fit for purpose”.

“We’ve heard through our adviser network that customers want a more holistic employee insurance offering and, by adding kids trauma and specific injury support to our life, trauma, total and permanent disablement and income protection coverage options, we’re ensuring they get just that,” he says.

Hill says from 1 June 2023 all new and existing employee insurance policies will be issued with the plain language WriteMark Standard.

“Our team has taken this opportunity to update and clarify several other terms throughout the policy, including 22 existing trauma cover definitions and three new diagnoses, all with the aim of making things easier for the customer,” says Hill.
