The vast majority of those who cast a vote in our current poll agree that more advice firms should allow advisers to keep their clients when they move on.
The poll follows our report on DUX Financial Services and its policy of preferring that departing advisers take their clients with them. The firm’s Alan Borthwick says clients have a relationship with the adviser – not the firm.
There’s still a week to go before this poll closes, and so far 75% agree advisers should be able to retain their clients, 18% disagree, and 7% are not sure.
More advice firms should allow the adviser to retain their clients if they depart the firm.
