Poll Respondents Highlight Affordability Issues

The issue of affordability is a major hurdle preventing consumers from obtaining the lump sum and IP cover they want, according to the interim results of our latest poll.

Our poll follows publication of the FSC’s latest Money & You report that reveals the cost-of-living crisis is impacting New Zealanders when it comes to protecting their health and life with insurance.

Results so far show that 70% of respondents frequently come across clients unable to buy the insurance recommended to them, and 22% of those who took part say affordability issues has surfaced in recent times. Eight percent say they ‘sometimes’ come across affordability concerns.

This poll closes on 17 December.
