Chubb Life New Zealand has announced the appointment of Lee-Ann du Toit as Chief Actuary.
Du Toit joins Chubb Life NZ from Deloitte New Zealand, where she was the Insurance Sector Leader and Lead Partner for Actuarial Services.
She has more than 25 years of diverse financial services experience including leadership roles across actuarial, sales, customer and marketing functions. She is currently the President of the New Zealand Society of Actuaries.
The insurer says Du Toit will report to CEO Gail Costa “…and joins the senior leadership team as they continue their journey to future-proof the business and enhance protection for New Zealanders.”
Costa says that with the industry rapidly evolving, du Toit’s expertise in driving strategic business outcomes and fostering customer-centric solutions will be invaluable to the company.
“The Chief Actuary plays an important role in supporting both our board and senior leadership team to make strategic business decisions, and we’re looking forward to having [her] voice and unique perspective at the decision-making table,” she says.
