Asteron Life paid a total of $117.9 million in claims to its life, trauma and income protection customers in the year ending June 2025.
In a LinkedIn posting the company highlighted its claim acceptance rates as:
- Life: 99.90% acceptance rate
- Lump Sum: 97.84% acceptance rate
- Income Protection: 95.61% acceptance rate

In a graphic accompanying the LinkedIn posting Asteron Life also pointed to a 97.7% combined acceptance rate.
Its payments included $46.6 million in life claims; $43.7 million in trauma claims and $27.6 million in monthly income covers, including Income Protection.
Scott Jensen, Executive Manager Claims and Customer Solutions at Asteron Life, says the claims numbers “…are hugely exciting for us as they illustrate how we show up for our customers when it matters and that’s a privilege.”
He says the reality is that behind every claim is a real person and family. “That’s what we are here for – being here for our customers when life happens”.
He added that what the numbers don’t show is the team of dedicated claims specialists “… not only helping claims get paid but walking alongside customers and their advisers…”
