Southern Cross Health Insurance and Southern Cross Life Insurance have been recognised in the 2026 Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands awards.
Southern Cross says in a statement that the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands survey, now in its 27th year, independently measures what matters most to New Zealanders when it comes to trust, including reliability, integrity and consistency over time.
It says Southern Cross Health Insurance was awarded Most Trusted Health Insurance Brand for the 10th consecutive year. Now with 940,000 members, the Friendly Society introduced health insurance to New Zealand more than 60 years ago.
Southern Cross Life Insurance was named Most Trusted Life Insurance Brand for the fourth consecutive year. It was established in partnership with Chubb Life Insurance New Zealand in 2016.
Southern Cross Health Insurance Chief Sales and Marketing Officer Regan Savage says sustained trust is built through consistency and purpose.
“Trust isn’t something you claim, it’s something you earn over time through the way you show up for people,” he says.
