Eligible Fidelity Life customers who are facing financial hardship as a direct result of the recent flooding in Kaikōura and the Waitaki District can apply to have their premiums temporarily waived.
The insurer says premiums may be waved for up to three months, with the potential to extend for up to a further three months, without affecting their insurance protection. The offer is open to eligible Fidelity Life customers until October 7, 2026.

Chief Commercial Officer David Winspear says the focus is on supporting customers and communities impacted by the recent rain in Kaikōura and the Waitaki District.
“We know many people are dealing with the immediate impacts of the flooding and the challenges that come with recovery. Insurance is there for life’s unexpected moments, and our premium relief is designed to provide some breathing room while reassuring customers that their cover remains in place.”
Fidelity Life says that to access these relief offers customers should contact their financial adviser or the company.
