A general insurance training course for financial advisers has been launched by Strategi Institute.

A strand of the New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) V2 programme, it will help provide advisers with the competence, knowledge, and skill to meet the requirements of the new advice regime that starts on 15 March 2021, says the firm.

“We are the only NZQA Category 1 (highest) rated training provider who delivers the General Insurance Strand,” says David Greenslade, Executive Director of the Auckland-based institute.

Strategi Institute Head Altaf Shaikh says the course will give students an in-depth understanding of the general insurance market, concepts, legislation, and codes of conduct that are relevant to providing professional general insurance services.

Shaikh says the course will be suitable for those working in the areas of risk advising, underwriting, accounts management, product specialist, claims specialist, and insurance broking.

Courses are delivered online, via distance learning, Zoom conferences, and by an experienced general insurance practitioner in the classroom. More information on the qualification is available here.

A free 30-min webinar will be held on Wednesday 21 October at 9:30am. Click here to register. For more information call 09 414 1300 or email support@strategi.ac.nz
