AIA NZ Announces a String of New Appointments

AIA NZ has announced a string of key appointments this week as it bolsters its support to advisers and clients across the country.

The newest team member at the firm is Hannah Anderson, its Business Development Manager – Christchurch.

Anderson joins AIA NZ this month with a strong background in business development from Coca Cola Amatil. She also spent several years as a cabin crew manager with Air New Zealand, with strong customer service and relationship management skills.

Anderson, who has also worked as a group fitness instructor with the Les Mills gym chain and represented New Zealand in bodybuilding. She is based in Christchurch and responsible for the wider Canterbury region.

Tim Coltman is Business Development Manager – Southern, and joined the firm in April to service the lower part of the South Island. He covers Timaru and Dunedin through Central Otago to Invercargill.

Coltman is based in Wanaka and, says AIA, offers solid planning, negotiation, and project management skills.

He has worked as Sponsorship Manager for the Rhythm & Alps Festival, and as Sports Manager for Winter Games NZ, one of the world’s leading snow sports events. He’s held roles with Sport NZ, High Performance Sport NZ, and Snowsports NZ.

Anna Corbin has been appointed Business Development Manager – Lower North Island.

The former international cricketer has almost 10 years’ experience as an adviser, having grown her advice start-up into a high performing business.

AIA says this experience has positioned Wellington-based Corbin well to work with advisers, “…supporting them to deliver great advice and develop their business”.

Prior to running her own business, Corbin spent 12 years with IAG New Zealand in a variety of leadership roles, such as sales and service.

Corbin is responsible for servicing the Whanganui, Wairarapa and Wellington areas.

Rakesh Masalawalla is Business Development Manager – Wellington. He joined AIA NZ in March, bringing with him more than 25 years’ experience within the insurance and trustee industries, working with brands such as AMP Wealth Management and Perpetual Guardian.

A Petone supporter since way back, Masalawalla is an active tennis player, gym goer and mountain biker. He is based in Wellington and services the wider region.

Finally, Laura Holyoake, who has been involved with AIA Vitality since 2019 takes up the role of AIA NZ Vitality Coach.

From running, biking, competing in ironman, and finding New Zealand trails and beaches to travel to, she is heavily invested in living her ‘healthy’ each day.

“I want to empower people to make small healthy changes to live life to the fullest,” she says.
