Advisers Split on Rise in Mental Health Claims

0

Last week we asked if you have seen a rise in the number of claims for mental health as a result of Covid-19.

With one week to go before our poll closes, the results so far show that 40% of you have seen an increase, 55% have not, and 5% are not sure.

The result shows an even split and contrasts sharply with that reported by life and health insurer nib, which reported a rise of 225% for mental health claims in the two years to December 2021.

There’s still time to cast your vote, with the poll closing on Tuesday 21 June.

Have you seen an uptick in the number of claims for mental health issues as a result of Covid-19?

  • No (50%)
  • Yes (47%)
  • Not sure (3%)
