Fidelity Life’s Chief Operating Officer Ian Clancy will step up to Acting CEO at the firm from 3 April, replacing Melissa Cantell who announced in January that she planned to leave the firm.

Clancy will lead the firm for six months while the board searches for a permanent replacement.

Fidelity Life Chair Brian Blake says members of the board are “…highly confident Ian will maintain the company’s transformation momentum”.

Cantell will step down on 31 March, but will remain in the business during April to support a smooth transition to Clancy. Her last day will be 28 April.

Blake says Fidelity Life is in a strong position and it’s business as usual for staff, advisers and partners.
