More Premium Relief Offered

Fidelity Life customers facing financial hardship in Selwyn, Christchurch city and Banks Peninsula, as a direct result of recent severe weather, can apply to have their premiums temporarily waived for up to three months.

This follows the insurer offering premium relief for drought-affected customers in March and then extending this relief to five other regions in April.

The company says customers eligible for its latest offer may also be able to extend their premium relief for as much as a further three months, without affecting their insurance protection.

Fidelity Life’s Chief Commercial Officer Bronwyn Kirwan acknowledges the hardships the communities in Selwyn, Christchurch city and Banks Peninsula have endured due to the severe weather.

“The recent severe weather has been tough on these communities, and we want to help. Insurance is more than just a policy – it’s protection when you need it most.”

She says the premium relief offer gives them security in times of uncertainty “…by ensuring affected customers stay covered while they focus on rebuilding. We hope this support gives them the breathing room they need to recover.”

Fidelity Life advises customers to contact their financial adviser or the company to access the relief offer.
