Our latest poll result finds a majority of advisers agree they should delegate the completion of life insurance applications to a team member.
In a mixed result, more than half of advisers taking our latest poll (57%) agree with the premise around delegating life insurance applications, but as we go to press a sizable 30% are not sure at this point in time, and only 13% disagree.
Our poll stemmed from an insightful message from Kiwi risk specialist adviser, Brian Burgess, at the 2026 MDRT Global Conference in Sydney recently.
Burgess had said advisers struggling to find enough hours in the day might benefit from asking a simple question about every task they perform: Should I do it, delegate it or dump it? (See: Do it, Delegate it or Dump it).
His views had prompted us to wonder whether other advisers feel the same way about delegating these type of tasks – completing life insurance applications in particular.
The results so far indicate that on the whole advisers are far from sure if this type of delegation is for them, or if it is both plausible and do-able.
Our poll remains open for another week and we are keen to learn your views…
