AIA Launches New Support Programme for Financial Advisers

AIA has launched a new adviser support programme to help reduce the pressure of incoming regulatory changes and help them improve client communications.

Called Apollo and Apollo Prime – both schemes are free and will keep advisers ahead of regulatory expectations and provide them with a range of back-office support services.

Advisers can take advantage of professional indemnity insurance via AON’s group scheme, will have access to training courses, online accreditation processes, and product refresher courses.

AIA is also providing help for those preparing to sit the Level 5 Financial Studies qualification from the Open Polythecnic with a 45% discount on fees as well as providing training workshops.

Advisers selling AIA products will also have access to Xplan, a client information and back office service along with training to use the system.

On the marketing front; members using Xplan enjoy access to a range of business marketing tools such as form letters, templates and reports.

AIA Apollo Prime, which is limited to 100 advisers, provides custom support to improve a specific area of an adviser’s business – such as marketing, business processes, customer leads, and compliance.

Apollo Prime is based on AIA’s Ascend 2019 qualification criteria. However, from 2021, the focus will shift from volume based targets to good customer outcomes.

All Apollo members will have access to discounts and deals from companies such as retailers Noel Leeming and PB Tech, Share this Video, Kiwi Fuel Cards, Dough HR services and Advisor Promoter.

We believe a great many advisers will welcome this support, including back office support…

Sam Tremethick, AIA’s chief partnership insurance officer says: “What we are doing is providing support to the people who work with AIA and write business with us.

“Most of them are fairly small operations and so compliance and the new regulations are a pretty daunting prospect for some. We believe a great many advisers will welcome this support, including back office support.

“There is a lot happening in the market at the moment, regulation being one of them, so offering help for advisers to achieve the Level 5 Financial Studies qualification is a part of our offering.”
