Advisers new to the industry are invited to a three-day training course being run by Partners Life in March.

Its New Adviser Training Course is for people who joined the industry within the last 24 months and who want to develop their professional skills and knowledge.

Attendees will need to complete a set of distance learning modules prior to the course which is being run on March 23, 24 and 25. Candidates will be expected to attend all three days at Partners Life House, Takapuna, Auckland.

The company says people wanting to take part in the course will need approval from a Partners Life agency (either principal or associate) and have completed the distance learning modules.

Modules include:

  • An introduction to the industry
  • Consumer and adviser legislation
  • Introduction to insurance jargon
  • Product fundamentals

On-site training will cover things such as the advice process, case studies, understanding quoting software, risks, and managing claims.

Advisers who successfully complete the full course will receive a certificate.

Registrations close March 6.
