Kiwi Steps In To Run AMP Australia

Blair Vernon has left his role as CEO, AMP New Zealand Wealth Management (NZWM), to join AMP Australia as its Acting CEO. He replaces the firm’s former CEO Alex Wade who resigned.

Jeff Ruscoe will replace Vernon as Acting CEO, NZWM.

A statement from the company says Vernon has led major changes as CEO of NZWM.

He has more than 25 years’ experience in financial services in New Zealand and Australia. Vernon joined AMP in 2009 and held a number of senior executive roles before becoming Managing Director in January 2017.

In February 2019, he was appointed Chief Executive of New Zealand Wealth Management.

AMP did not elaborate on Wade’s decision to step down.
