A report published by training firm Strategi points to hundreds of financial advisers having to stop trading when the transitional licence period ended on 16 March.

The firm said more than 500 advisers were still working through their Level 5 qualification when the deadline arrived, and that most of these were providing financial advice.

On top of this, an industry survey by AIA showed in 2022 that many advisers spend 40% of their time doing admin, with some saying just 11% of their time is spent with clients.
