Cigna Reminds Advisers of Complimentary Client Benefits

0

Cigna is reminding financial advisers this week of the free client benefits the firm offers holders of certain policies.

To be eligible, clients need to hold a Cigna insurance policy that has been in force for at least 90 days. Benefits are available to the policy owner, life assured, and dependent children.

The insurer defines a dependent child as aged 16 and under, or up to 21 years old if in full time education and financially dependent on the policy owner or life assured.

Client benefits include:

  • Wellness advice
  • Mental health counselling
  • Budgeting advice
  • Legal advice
  • Career counselling

Cigna says clients can claim benefits up to $1,000 across all Cigna policies during a policy year for life events, which include divorce or loss of job. The maximum consultation rate for a single session is $300.

The benefit must be claimed and received within 13 months of the life event occurring and a referral from a medical practitioner is required for fitness and nutrition advice.

Cigna’s eligible policies for client benefits are:

  • Assurance Extra
  • Business Assurance
  • Business Extra
  • Agribusiness Extra
  • Life Cover Plus
  • Mortgage Extra
  • Rural Extra
  • Children’s Extra
  • Grandchildren’s Extra

Benefits are approved at Cigna’s discretion, delivered by registered professionals, and are  confidential.
