Good governance is a key requirement for every FAP so training firm Strategi has developed a course to help business owners meet the requirements of the regulator.
The FMA expects FAPs to have an approved and documented policy that ensures directors and senior managers have the right skills and experience for their roles.
Strategi says oversight and compliance functions need to cover all the required components and have sufficient scope to monitor the business effectively and ensure licence obligations are met.
In addition to showing you how to be compliant, the course illustrates how good governance translates into good business.
The course, says Strategi, also helps FAP managers foster an effective governance culture, provide tools to ensure the FAP meets its regulatory obligations, compliance requirements, and appropriate risk management.
Strategi’s course is taught over two full days in a classroom workshop, with the remainder of the course completed online. Online work involves the completion of four assignments specifically relating to the business. The total duration of the course is 14 weeks.
