Cigna NZ’s Good Things Come in Twos campaign has been well-received by financial advisers and their clients since its launch two months ago says the firm.

The insurer’s General Manager Distribution David Haak says the initiative was launched at the perfect time for customers and advisers, as the country deals with the ongoing impact of Covid-19.

The campaign offers two months of free cover when clients take out or increase their level of insurance with the firm. It also provides advisers with twice the servicing commission for two months for all new business and increases sold during the campaign period.

Director and Insurance Specialist at Lime Group, Steve Marsden says: “After taking a client through the advice process, making a recommendation and selecting Cigna as the provider, the feeling I got seeing my clients’ reaction when I told them they would get their first two months of premiums free was gold.”

Haak says Cigna has seen a significant increase in the number of advisers choosing to partner with his firm during the past few months.

“Advisers have told us the timing of the offer couldn’t have been better,” he says. “We recognise this time has been as challenging for advisers as it has been for their customers.

“This offer is just one of the ways we’re demonstrating how important it is to our business to establish and nurture our long term partnerships with advisers.”
