Industry training firm Strategi says that while there is nothing requiring FAPs to have annual meetings with their clients, they do need to ensure their previous advice is still fit for purpose.

To help achieve this, the firm recommends advisers meet with clients at least once a year to help keep everything on track – unless the client indicates otherwise.

While regular marketing emails to clients might keep the lines of communication open, most people agree there is no substitute for face-to-face meetings be they in person or online.
